A history of the region
The Bourbonnais, the original inspiration
Between the tenth and eleventh centuries, the region of Bourbon, now called Bourbonnais, was governed by a family of lords for 6 generations, all named Archambaud.
It is in the heart of this region, in the centre of the most beautiful forests in France, that the desire to revive certain traditions that run through this place so rich in history was born: local cuisine.
More than 900 years later, impregnated by the surrounding beauty, Archambaud is reborn from its flames by creating objects of excellence with a timeless design.
A story of passion
A return to the roots
Passionate about history and the arts of fire, it was in 2020 that Dominique Charby, a native of the region, took over the reins of the manufacturing plant to found Archambaud, a new symbol of French exception.
He surrounds himself with passionate people in order to develop products of excellence combining artisanal tradition and technological innovation.
